Everyone likes to be recognized for a Job Well Done! Companies like to be recognized for a building that took time and care! It’s time to award these individuals and companies for what they do. 

To celebrate the success and professionalism of our members in the rental housing industry, the Alberta Residential Landlord Association is proud to present the 4th Annual ARLA Achievement Awards. These awards are an opportunity to recognize the rental housing and service providers of all shapes and sizes who are committed to providing high quality service. 

This is your time to nominate someone or even yourself or your company recognizing what you/they have accomplished. 

Our members are highly recognized in the Rental Industry. Nominations are now underway! 

The following awards are open for nominations:
  1. Property Manager of the Year
  2. Senior Leadership of the Year
  3. Site Employee of the Year
  4. Rental Housing Provider of the Year
  5. Rental Housing Provider of the Year under 250 units
  6. Not for profit Housing Provider of the Year
  7. New Rental Development Project of the Year
  8. Renovation Project of the year under $250,000
  9. Renovation Project of the year over $250,000
  10. Preferred Service Member of the year
  11. Rental Industry Rookie of the Year

The Awards Committee will review all of the nominees in each category and choose a winner that will be announced at the 4th Annual Landlord Resource Trade Show & ARLA Achievement Awards Luncheon on April 25, 2024.  You can enter more than one nomination in a category, and also have one entry in every category.

​Property Manager of the Year

The Property Manager of the Year Award recognizes an individual who is professional, engaged, and demonstrates excellence in everything they do. This person effectively manages their portfolio, staff and budgets while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction. The person exceeds expectations and contributes to the success of his/her building, team, and company. This person is engaged in the day-to-day operations and management of a portfolio of units.

​Senior Leadership of the Year

The Senior Leadership of the Year Award recognizes an individual who is
professional, engaged, and demonstrates excellence and they are well respected in their place of employment and in the industry. This person exemplifies Leadership and has made significant impacts in their role including mentoring and recruiting of new and existing staff. They are well rounded in all aspects of the industry including Financial and Operations.

Site Employee of the Year
 
The Site Employee of the Year Award recognizes a person who demonstrates
professionalism, is customer service oriented, engaged, and demonstrates excellence. This person ensures a high level of resident satisfaction in the job they perform. Leasing Agents, maintenance personnel, cleaners, on site managers, chefs, etc. are examples for this award.

​Rental Housing Provider of the Year
 
The Rental Housing Provider of the Year recognizes an ARLA Member who
demonstrates commitment to excellence, education and professionalism in all aspects. They are an outstanding rental housing provider who or which has demonstrated leadership, initiative, and dedication to the success of their operations, communities, and the industry as a whole.

​Rental Housing Provider of the Year under 250 units

 
The Rental Housing Provider of the Year recognizes an ARLA Member that has
less than 250 units and has demonstrated good customer service, initiative, and commitment to their tenants and community. They are an outstanding rental housing provider who or which has demonstrated a dedication to the success of their operations, communities, and the industry as a whole.
 
Nominations are open to companies and individual landlords or property managers.

​​ Not for Profit Housing Provider of the Year

The Not for Profit Housing Provider of the Year recognizes an ARLA Member
for their outstanding efforts, vision and advocacy to deliver transformative change within their organizations and across the sector, inspiring the growth and progress of affordable housing throughout Alberta.
 
The organization holds itself to high standards in its operations and relationships with those it serves. Providing community housing in a way that focuses on inclusion and integration of people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. The organization empowers, creates safety and belonging, ensures stability and equity in housing and in turn building healthy communities and families.

​New Rental Development Project of the Year

 

The New Rental Development Project of the Year recognizes a company which
has developed a new rental housing project that demonstrates excellence and quality. The entries will be judged on the overall design and quality of the project and consideration will be given to creativity, curb appeal, amenities, environmental quality, use of space and functionality.

Renovation Project of the Year under $250,000
 

The Rental Renovation Award under $250,000 recognizes a company who
demonstrates excellence in enhancing the appeal of the lobby, exterior, common areas or suites of the property and/or changes to benefit the property. Entries will be judged on the visual appeal based on a comparison of the before and after of the space, layout and aesthetics.

​Renovation Project of the Year over $250,000
 

The Rental Renovation Award over $250,000 recognizes a company who

Preferred Service Member of the Year
 

The Preferred Service Member of the Year Award recognizes individuals or
companies that show continual and exceptional customer service. This would include involvement and support for the Association by attending events, sponsorship and volunteering. The award recognizes individuals that provide value to not only the industry but to the community as a whole.

​Rental Industry Rookie of the Year 

 
The Rental Industry Rookie of the Year Award recognizes a person who is less than 2 years in the industry and has shown great strides, energy, enthusiasm and dedication to the Rental Industry. They demonstrate professionalism and excellence in everything they do. This employee is someone who regularly exceeds expectations. This can be a leasing agent, accountant, property administrator, marketing person, maintenance, property manager, etc. They are that employee that has stepped up and shown passion for the Rental Industry.
