Who we are The Alberta Residential Landlord Association(ARLA), founded in 1994, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening and preserving the well-being of the residential rental industry by uniting Owners and Managers of purpose built rentals, secondary suites and investment properties.
Our association is governed by a Board of Directors and committed staff members who together provide a united voice for the housing rental community in Edmonton and across Alberta.
Who we represent ARLA represents over 75,000+ individual rental units in and around the City of Edmonton and reaches the landlord communities across Alberta. In addition approximately 14,800 condominium units are rented in the secondary rental market in Edmonton alone. Together our Landlord Owners and Managers employ thousands of people as resident managers and onsite support staff. Owners and Managers pay in excess of $230 million per year on the operational side . Being a member of ARLA has tremendous benefits and ensures its members are kept informed respecting government legislation, market trends, education, networking opportunities and has available for purchase professional Landlord Forms & Notices to help standardize the rental housing business practices for all landlords in Alberta.
